Fragomen’s San Diego Office Honored for Pro Bono Services

The San Diego office has been named “Law Firm of the Year” by Casa Cornelia Law Center, a locally based nonprofit that provides legal assistance to victims of human and civil rights violations.

Fragomen attorneys provide a variety of legal services to Casa Cornelia’s indigent clients, who have come to the United States from Mexico, Latin America, Somalia, Ethiopia, Iraq, China, and other countries around the world. Much of Fragomen's work involves asylum cases, U visa and VAWA cases under the Trafficking and Violence Protection Act and the Violence Against Women Act, assisting indigent victims of persecution, domestic violence or other crimes who are protected under the U.S. immigration laws. Fragomen's pro bono work also includes representation of unaccompanied minors in Immigration Court as part of Casa Cornelia’s unaccompanied children’s program, as well as other individuals seeking asylum in the U.S.
