Immigration as a Key Economic Indicator
September 2010
Immigration compliance is a critical element of a company’s standing with the domestic government. Failure to comply with regulations in place exposes the business to unnecessary risk, which can be detrimental. Fragomen works to ensure that its clients do not run such a risk. Moreover, because countries compete with each other economically, an influx of skilled workers over one’s borders is a solid metric of a healthy economy. Yet, countries walk a fine line between limiting immigration numbers and attracting skilled workers. The paradox, David Crawford notes, leads to increasingly complex regulations, through which Fragomen is able to navigate its clients.
