The Washington, DC office is seeking an Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join a growing legal team that advises clients across multiple industries, including financial services, hospitality, higher-ed, and technology.   • Assess eligibility of foreign national employees for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States with a focus on H-1B, L-1, EB-1c and PERM, as well as other visa categories.
  • Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) for nonimmigrant and immigrant status for foreign national employees.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Supervise the work of paralegal staff in maintaining case management databases and document preparation.
  • Perform intake, strategy development, and oversight of the preparation of responses to USCIS requests for evidence (RFE).
  • Perform legal research on case law as related to immigration for various types of NIV/IV visa petitions and applications.
  • Other duties as required.


  • U.S. JD required
  • Member of a State Bar Association with the ability to be admitted to the DC Bar within one year of commencing employment. 
  • 2+ years business immigration law experience
  • Experience with both NIV and IV petitions, with a focus on H-1B, L-1, EB-1c and PERM, including analysis and preparation of responses to RFEs
  • Willingness to learn and master other case types, such as E-1/2, O-1, J-1, TN and H-3.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
  • Ability to contribute to positive work environment
