Business Immigration Coordinator -Temp

Fragomen a leading international Business Immigration Law Firm, is immediately hiring Temporary Admin Assistants for the Los Angeles office for a period of at least 2/3 months

The position will work under direct supervision of an Attorney or team lead. This is an ideal role for someone with no previous immigration experience wanting to launch their legal career and gain some experience within a global law firm.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

o  Case Manage data entry and continued maintenance of date integrity

o  File and maintain physical files and supporting documentation

o  Create, edit, print and distribute materials

o  Open or close records/cases; maintain any and all records as requested by supervisor

o  General administrative duties as needed (i.e. faxing, copying, typing, etc.)

o  Schedule internal and client meetings, maintain calendars, coordinate team meetings, and schedule conference calls

o  Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisor

o  Follow up with client for outstanding documentation

o  Maintain client contact information

o  Update and manage status reports

o  Build knowledge of Firm and client processes

o  Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications (i.e. drafting and assembling non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications)

o  Routine case monitoring (i.e. USCIS, DOL, NVC, etc.)

o  Make travel arrangements and process travel and other business expenses

o  Provide additional administrative support to the department case documents and preparing immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency

o  Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

o  Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional services environment

o  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in person, by phone and by email

o  Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple people and various tasks simultaneously

o  Skilled in a variety of technology tools, including Microsoft Office

o  Ability to anticipate situations and respond quickly and professionally

o  Very strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail

o  Extensive file and document management experience

o  Show interest in expanding knowledge and responsibilities in casework preparation

o  Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team

o  Proven experience in handling multiple deliverables efficiently

o  Ability to provide information and respond to requests for assistance with courtesy and tact

o  Must be a team player as well as self-motivated and committed to excellence in the workplace
