Marketing & Business Development Coordinator - Writer

Fragomen’s Corporate Marketing & Business Development team is searching for Proposal/Pitch Coordinator to be based in our Matawan, NJ HQ. Working on the Content team, your focus will be on coordinating proposals, presentations and marketing and business development materials for client pitches, brochures, slip sheets, articles, publications, event materials and the firm’s website in a B2B environment.

The ability to multitask under tight deadlines and excellent organizational and writing skills are all “musts” for this position. The Marketing & BD Proposal/Content Coordinator must have a “can do” attitude and work in close collaboration with the Content team, the larger Marketing and Business Development Department, senior management, partners/attorneys and other colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Content team with coordinating and drafting client-focused, accurate, high quality proposals, capabilities statements, RFP responses and pitch presentations that are consistent with firm messaging
  • Possess superior project management skills as well as excellent organizational, analytical, writing skills
  • Coordinate the flow of information from various internal contributors to meet all proposal and pitch deadlines; must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Draft marketing copy including proposals and attorney bios that conform to prescribed style and formatting
  • Present ideas in clear, logical and concise format
  • Synthesize and present data and processes in multiple formats including texts, charts, diagrams, etc.
  • Compile and organize proposal content based on certain criteria; maintain and update proposal and RFP content in web-based system
  • Possess ability to quickly develop a strong working knowledge of the firm, its practice groups, and its clients and their industry sectors
  • Demonstrate cross-cultural communication skills and ability to interface with internal clients in Fragomen offices worldwide
  • Provide administrative support including helping to monitor the team’s marketing request mailbox, schedule meetings, help with formatting projects, etc.
  • Provide additional support to wider Marketing and Business Development department, as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English or a related field
  • Two to five years of experience as a proposal or pitch coordinator or in a related communications role preferably in a legal or other professional services firm; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations requiring adherence to tight deadlines
  • Client service oriented with the aptitude to address internal clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner
  • Highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented
  • Solid writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Able to collaborate, excel and deliver outcomes in a team environment
  • Capable of learning and understanding an audience and produce targeted content
  • Independently driven, resourceful, proactive and self-motivated with a "make it happen" mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in marketing immigration services a plus
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Use of Adobe Creative Cloud a definite plus

The Marketing & BD Proposal/Content Coordinator position requires a very high energy level and flexibility with respect to overtime.
