2015 Quota Allocation Applications Due by September 1

Kazakh employers who plan to submit quota allocation applications for 2015 must do so by September 1, 2014. Each year, Kazakh employers are encouraged — but are not required — to file with their regional Department of Labor office a report that outlines their need for foreign workers and that estimates the number of foreign workers they expect to sponsor during the following year. 

Employers who normally sponsor more than ten work permits per year are strongly advised to file quota allocation applications. Each year, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Labor allocates the quota numbers among Kazakh cities and administrative districts (oblasts). In some years, additional quota numbers are made available. Typically, employers who submitted the voluntary allocation applications in the previous year are given priority to these additional quota numbers.
