The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Oman has announced that employers in the private sector in Oman must register their Omanization plans for 2018 before December 31, 2017.
- How to register. Employers can register through the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) electronic portal. The plan will be reflected in the system upon approval.
- Consequences of noncompliance. Labor-related applications for foreign employees will not be considered by the MOM if the employer fails to submit the Omanization plan by the deadline.
- Background. Omanization is the governmental program that aims to increase the participation of Omani workers in the private sector.
