Due to high application volumes, processing times for various visa categories have increased. Temporary Skill Shortage visas now take two to seven months, up from the previous one to three months. Skills in Demand visas have also experienced delays, with the Specialist Skills stream now taking nine-39 days (up from the previous average of seven days), while the Core Skills stream now takes 30-47 days (up from an average of 21 days). Employer Nomination visas currently take between 12-18 months, which has been the average processing timeframe for at least the past year. Additionally, Training (subclass 407) visas now take approximately nine months to process, a significant increase from the previous three months, due to heightened scrutiny of this visa type.
