Australia: New Work and Holiday Visa Arrangements for Papua New Guinea Citizens

Papua New Guinea citizens are now eligible for the Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) Visa. This visa, designed for individuals aged 18 to 30, permits eligible foreign nationals of various nationalities to work and stay in Australia for up to 12 months. To be eligible, Papua New Guinea citizens must have successfully completed at least two years of post-secondary study and must meet requisite qualification levels set by the Australian government. The new rule provides Australian employers access to a broader pool of potential employees and offers Papua New Guinean citizens increased opportunities to gain work and holiday experiences in Australia.
