Australia: Six-month Work Limitation for Working Holiday Makers Delayed
January 5, 2023
The Australian government has extended the relaxation of the six-month work limitation for Working Holiday Makers under the same employer until June 30, 2023. The government suspended the six-month work limitation previously starting January 19, 2022, which was originally scheduled to end December 31, 2022. Working Holiday Makers may continue to work for any employer for the duration of their visa without the time being counted towards the six-month limitation period. Starting July 1, 2023, when the arrangement comes to an end, Working Holiday Makers will be allowed to work for any employer for up to an additional six months even if they worked for that same employer before July 1, 2023.
