Bolivia: Strike and Protests Affecting Mobility and Immigration Processing
October 24, 2022
A strike and protests concerning the government’s decision to postpone the national census are causing limited mobility and service disruptions at airports and government offices in several cities. Due to limited transportation options, road closures and reduced staff, travelers can expect delays at airports when entering La Paz or Santa Cruz and lengthy transfer times to and from airports. Additionally, foreign nationals and employers can expect processing delays for immigration-related applications due to reduced staff and office hours until the situation normalizes. Fragomen is working with affected clients on a case-by-case basis.
