In May 2018, Kenya ratified the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA), becoming one of the first African countries to adopt the pact, ultimately removing trade barriers and encouraging investments in the region.
Director Willys Mac’Olale, in an interview with Business Daily Africa, highlights how the removal of trade barriers will attract significant investments and facilitate the movement of skilled labour. This development is poised to benefit the local workforce through skills transfer and increased job opportunities. As more companies invest, the Kenyan economy stands to grow robustly, creating a more dynamic and competitive market.
