The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the new eVisa system will be implemented on April 30, 2023. The eVisa system will enable business travelers and tourists to: apply for transit, long-stay and tourism visas online; make payments; check the status of their applications; and download issued eVisas. The eVisas will be issued within 24 hours for express visas and 72 hours for regular processing; currently, visas for tourism and business generally take from three to 10 days to be issued. The application fee for eVisas has not yet been announced. The implementation of the eVisa system is part of the country’s initiative to attract tourism and foreign investment to the country.
