China: Physical Social Security Card to Continue to Be Issued

Government officials have clarified that they will continue to issue physical Social Security Cards (‘Join in Cards’). The card will serve as the unified identification document for foreign employees under the new integrated system. Foreign nationals will still be able to obtain a digital version of the card on the centralized app as well.
