Colombia: New Application Fee Implemented for 30-Day Permit to Develop Other Activities

Effective immediately, Migracion Colombia has implemented a new processing fee of 2.9 UVT (Unidad de Valor Tributario or Tax Value Unit), equivalent to approximately COP 144,417 for 2025 (approximately USD 37), for the 30-day Permit to Develop Other Activities (POA). Previously, this permit was issued free of charge. The POA is available to visa-exempt nationals who are traveling to Colombia to provide urgent, short-term technical assistance in cases where the host company is unable to find a specialized Colombian worker to perform the required tasks. The application fee must now be paid upon submission of the POA request to Migracion Colombia.
