Cyprus: Improvements to Start-up Visa
January 13, 2025
The Cypriot government has relaxed several rules related to the Start-up Visa for non-EU nationals to make it more attractive. Key changes include a longer duration for related residence permits to three years (extendable); lower equity ownership requirements; and a higher percent of individuals who can be foreign nationals at the company, among changes. The Start-up Visa is designed for entrepreneurs and key personnel seeking to establish or expand innovative businesses in Cyprus, with provisions for residence and employment.
