Due to Upcoming Holiday Closure, Applications for 2013 Must Be Submitted By November 29

As Papua New Guinea’s labor department prepares to close for the holiday season, applications for new work permits and renewals must be submitted by November 29, 2013. The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations will remain open from December 2 to December 13, but only to issue approved work permits. The Department will close for the holiday season on December 13, 2013 and will resume accepting applications on January 8, 2014.

Renewal applications for work permits expiring through February 2014 should be filed by November 29 – three months before their expiration, as required under current immigration rules.
