Frankfurt-based Director Marius Tollenaere has co-authored a new reference book on Germany’s immigration law.
Einwanderungsrecht is a concise and practical overview of Germany’s new skilled worker immigration act. The new act came into force on 1 March 2020 and was introduced because of a shortage of skilled workers in the country.
This new act allows skilled workers from non-EU countries to migrate to Germany for work if they have vocational training and professional experience. Academic qualifications are no longer required. There are however more reporting and compliance obligations placed on employers.
Marius was very excited to co-author with such esteemed professionals. “A relatively recent publication, the first edition of the book quickly developed into a new classic. I was therefore excited to be approached with the opportunity to co-author the second edition and share my perspectives on labor migration law after the German Immigration Reform. The deadlines were tight but as we had been closely following the reform process since the 2017 election on behalf of our clients at Fragomen, I had a good basis to contribute to this project and found the experience thought provoking and enjoyable"
The book is published by C.H. Beck Verlag and is available here.
