The Tanzanian Labour authorities will be conducting labor inspections to ensure that foreign employees possess valid work permits. Foreign employees will have to present their immigration documents and those found to be living and working in Tanzania without a valid work permit may be subject to arrest, prosecution or fine and deportation.
Employers employing foreign workers without a valid work permit are also subject to arrest and prosecution.
