As preparations are underway to launch ETIAS (the European Travel Information and Authorization System), the Director of the ETIAS Central Unit Division at Frontex is warning the public that there are unofficial ETIAS websites in multiple languages. As the ETIAS application process will require travelers to submit personal information such as passport details and a credit card number, travelers should be aware that the only official ETIAS application website is europa.eu/etias, and that other sites are fraudulent. Fragomen will continue monitoring the situation and will revert with additional information as developments occur.
