In an attempt to increase the capacity of Germany visa processing offices, which are experiencing increased volume and longer processing times, the government is suspending appeals of negative visa decisions as a six-month pilot project in Mainland China, Morocco and Türkiye. After the trial, the government will evaluate whether this reduced visa processing times and will decide whether to expand the practice or suspend it. The offices participating in the pilot project will issue more detailed rejection notices and applicants will have the option of having the rejection reviewed in administrative court proceedings within the legally stipulated time limit, or they can submit a new visa application.
