The German Embassy in Vietnam has suspended the issuance of C and D visas for Vietnamese citizens with blue-cover passports (which started being issued July 1, 2022) instead of the traditional green cover, according to an announcement on the website of the German Embassy in Vietnam. Those who have a German visa stamp in their blue-cover passport may be denied entry at the German border. It is not clear if this suspension is temporary, how long it will last if so, or the reason for it.
