Ghana: New Expedited Registration and Renewal Service for Investors to Obtain GIPC Certification

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), the agency responsible for regulating foreign company investments, has launched a new 24-hour expedited service to accelerate the registration, renewal, and issuance or replacement of GIPC certifications (a legal requirement for both local and foreign investors in Ghana). Once all application requirements are met and documents are uploaded online, payment must be made through the prescribed channels. Upon successful completion, approval will be granted within 24 hours. Applicants can opt to receive their approval via email or collect it directly from the GIPC office. This expedited service, available upon request, is expected to significantly reduce processing times compared to the standard turnaround period. By streamlining investor applications, it aims to foster a more efficient and investor-friendly business environment in Ghana.
