Background
Spanish authorities have been reviewing the requirements for applicants to be considered highly qualified since July 2018, specifically by increasing the required salary level and adding a salary check to the application process, and temporarily barring non-specialist roles.
Looking ahead
Fragomen expects Spanish authorities to continue reviewing and adjusting the immigration policy over the coming months, in an effort to streamline the immigration process for highly-qualified foreign workers.
