India: Electronic Visa Options for Kuwaiti Nationals Introduced

Effective July 13, 2025, the Indian government has implemented an e‑visa program for Kuwaiti nationals. Eligible applicants can now apply electronically in five categories (tourism, business, medical, ‘Ayush’ (traditional Indian medicine), and conferences) without visiting visa centers. Tourist e‑visas are valid for up to five years, business visas for up to one year, and medical, medical attendant, and conference visas are issued for shorter durations. The entire application process is completed online (uploading and submitting documents and paying fees of USD 40 to USD 80). Biometrics are captured upon arrival in India. Approved e‑visas permit entry to India through 32 designated airports and five seaports, while the traditional paper visa route via the Indian Consular Application Centers in Kuwait remains available.
