India/Bangladesh: Visa Application Centers in Multiple Cities in Bangladesh are Limiting Appointments

The Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC) in Bangladesh is temporarily only processing visa applications based on emergencies and humanitarian issues. Additionally, IVACs in the Bangladeshi cities of Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet and Khulna are temporarily only offering limited appointment slots, limited to those with urgent medical needs, and student visas (these centers have made limited appointment slots for urgent cases for Bangladeshi students and workers who already have visa appointments with foreign consular posts in India who need to travel to third countries). These temporary limitations will cause delays in non-urgent Indian visa applications processed in the affected cities in Bangladesh.
