Indonesia: Limited Stay Permit Extension Rules Restricted

Foreign nationals under a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) issued with a validity period of one year can now only submit an extension application 30 days before the expiry date, and foreign nationals with Limited Stay Permits issued for over a year can now only submit extension applications three months before the expiry date. Previously, these foreign nationals could submit their extension applications earlier than these timeframes. Extension applications submitted before the 30-day/three-month mark will be kept on hold by the authorities until they fall within the prescribed period. In all cases, extension applications must be submitted no later than the actual expiry date.
