Israel: Normal Operations at Israeli Consulates Resume After Strike Ends

Following the end of a partial strike, Israeli consulates around the world have resumed normal operations and are issuing work and visitor visas for visa-required nationals. Consequently, the Israeli consulates will no longer issue entry permits which were issued in lieu of entry visas during the strike. As was the process before the strike, a business visitor from a visa-required country must obtain a pre-entry B-2 visitor visa at the Israeli consulate. Furthermore, the issuance of waivers from consular processing for B-1 work visas will remain at the Ministry of Interior’s discretion. Employers and employees should account for longer processing times for visitor and employment visas at the consulates which will likely occur due to increased demand after the strike.
