Kenya/Democratic Republic of Congo: Reciprocal Visa Waiver Program Introduced
September 12, 2023
Effective September 1, 2023, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo have implemented a reciprocal visa waiver program and now allow travel for each other’s nationals to each other’s countries without applying for a business or tourist visa. All passport holders will be able to stay in each country for up to 30 days. This new development is part of the East Africa Community Regulations of free movement of persons within the member states. Other member states are gradually implementing similar visa waivers and we will report on each as it is implemented.
