Latvia/Russia: Two Border Crossings Closed

Effective October 12, 2023, the Terehova and Grebņeva border crossing points are now the only ones on the Latvian-Russian border that are open to individuals seeking to enter Russia from Latvia or vice versa, following the recent closure of the Vientuļi and Pededze border crossings by Latvian authorities. Therefore, individuals seeking to cross the Latvian-Russian border by land (either from Russia or Latvia) can now only use the Terehova or Grebņeva border crossing points.
