Effective April 11, 2023, the Migration Department will resume its expedited passport service, which has been suspended since April 20, 2022 due to disruptions to the global supply chain. The expedited service issues passports within five days at a cost of EUR 57; under regular processing, passports are issued within one month at a fee of EUR 43. However, under the expedited service, individuals must submit their application at the Migration Department and pick up the issued passport at another department; unlike under regular processing, they cannot use the passport delivery by courier service.
