Mail Delivery Strike Delays Receipt of Immigration Application Approvals

A strike involving mail delivery personnel is causing significant reductions in post office services and is delaying the receipt of work permit pre-approvals and other immigration application notifications by at least one week, and longer in some cases.  Original approval letters are required in order to file immigration applications. It is not clear how long the strike will last.   

What This Means for Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals awaiting work permit pre-approval should account for potential start date delays caused by the strike, and should contact their employer to discuss the impact of the delay.
