Mainland China: 15-Day Visa-Free Travel Program Expanded to More Nationals

Update May 9, 2024: This policy has been extended until December 31, 2025. This impacts nationals of Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland and Malaysia.
March 7, 2024: Effective March 14, 2024 through November 30, 2024, nationals of Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg and Switzerland will be able to enter Mainland China without a visa for tourism, business, family visits or transit for up to 15 days. Those seeking to enter to conduct other activities or stay for more than 15 days will still require a visa to enter Mainland China. This is an expansion of the program for other nationals opened in December 2023.
