Middle East: Deadlines Announced for Employers to Update Registered Employees' Salary Details

Select pension authorities in the Middle East and North Africa region have announced deadlines for employers to update their employees’ salary details. Key deadlines include (among others):

- Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates: January 31, 2026
- Bahrain: February 15, 2026
- Jordan: March 31, 2026
Each country requires registration through distinct platforms. Affected companies should contact their immigration provider for more information and timely registration assistance.
Non-compliant employers risk a fine for incorrect payments and another for delayed payments, and where an employer’s pension authority’s system is linked to an overseeing tax authority’s system, failure to update an employee’s salary details may result in tax penalties and fines.
