Minimum Salary Increase for Certain Non-EU Workers

Non-EU nationals sponsored for Luxembourg work permits as intracompany transferees or as locally hired temporary employees must be paid at least €2,305.23 per month. The increased salary requirement applies to new and renewal work permit applications submitted on or after October 1, 2013.

Employers should consult with their immigration service provider about the increased salary requirement prior to filing work permit applications for non-EU intracompany transferees and locally hired employees.

Luxembourg may adjust its minimum salary requirements several times per year. The minimum salary, which is defined by the Ministry of Employment, was previously €2,249.03 per month.
