New Zealand: Reopening Dates for Capped Working Holiday Schemes Announced
February 9, 2023
Immigration New Zealand has announced the 2023 reopening dates for the various capped Working Holiday Schemes for certain countries. Eligible applicants will be able to apply for a Working Holiday visa starting from the opening date designated for each country until the quota is reached or until 2024. Furthermore, Immigration New Zealand is also expected to announce a further increase to the quota limits for Spain and Vietnam (together with an announcement of their respective opening dates) once formal agreements are in place. In the meantime, foreign nationals from the following countries, usually ages 18 to 30 (35 in a select few countries), will be eligible to apply for the Working Holiday visa for purposes of travel, study and temporary work in New Zealand for up to 12 months.
