Oman: Mandatory Company Registration on Tawteen Platform

Registration on the Tawteen platform is now mandatory for all companies operating in Oman, regardless of size or sector. In practice, enforcement remains limited and is mainly applied to companies involved in government projects or regulated sectors, such as banking, healthcare, energy, telecommunications and finance.   

Tawteen is a government-launched platform aimed at promoting Omanization (the employment of Omani nationals) in line with Oman Vision 2040. It serves as a platform for recruitment, processing of labor clearances and visa requests for employees and  tracking of Omanization ratios and compliance.
