Immigration New Zealand has announced the implementation of a streamlined online work, business and student visa application system called Immigration ONLINE. The system allows foreign nationals or representatives (where allowed) to apply for a visa, pay visa fees and upload supporting documentation online. Users of the online system should also see faster processing times than those submitting paper applications.
Some work visa applicants, including those accompanied by dependents, will still need to submit paper applications. Additionally, certain applicants will still need to physically submit their passport to obtain a visa label.
The same fees apply for online and paper applications.
eVisas are expected to become available to visa-exempt work visa applicants abroad.

Immigration ONLINE should reduce processing times and the administrative burdens of paper applications.
