As an update, the implementation of the work permit reforms published by the Ministry of Labor earlier this month has been delayed until further notice. According to a memorandum published by the Ministry of Labor, the implementation is delayed while the Ministry drafts a revised Executive Decree and accompanying Procedures Manual. Both are expected to be published within the next few weeks to clarify details of the new work permit categories and changes to work permit regulations. Until the new decree is published, the existing work permit categories and requirements remain unchanged. Fragomen will monitor and report on any developments, clarifications and changes to work permit rules.
