The parents and grandparents sponsorship program reopened today at 8:00 am. Five thousand applications will be accepted for the program. Applications received after the cap is reached will be returned to the applicant.
Application Tips
- Application instructions, forms and guidelines are available on Citizenship Immigration Canada’s website.
- Complete applications should be sent to the case processing centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
- Application fees must be included with the application and must be paid by credit card or certified check. Applications with fees paid in any other manner will be returned, and upon resubmission, will be placed in the processing queue according to the new date of receipt.

Canadian citizens or Canadian permanent residents whose parents and grandparents are seeking to join them in Canada can again apply for sponsorship on their behalf.
