Due to a shortage of materials needed to create new passports, the Venezuelan government has authorized eligible current passport holders to apply for a two-year extension that will begin upon the expiration of the current passport.
- Extension eligibility. For Venezuelan passports that have expired or expire soon.
- Online application system. Applications must be initiated through an online system.
- Passports must be in good condition. Damaged passports or passports without remaining visa pages cannot be renewed using this method.
