Poland: Mandatory Online Processes Implemented for Work Permits and Contract Submission

Applicants must now use the government website to submit work permit applications; paper applications are no longer accepted and will not be admitted for processing. Impact on processing times is limited, as digital applications had already been widely used even before the change of law. Practices vary among authorities regarding supporting documents – some accept scanned copies of ink-signed documents, whereas others require digitally-signed documents only.
Additionally, work contracts based on Special Permissions or seasonal work permits must now be submitted on the government website as of July 1, 2025. Work contracts based on work permits must be submitted on the online system as of August 1, 2025.
