Poland: Single Permit Eligibility Limited
July 1, 2025
It is no longer sufficient for applicants who hold a Polish student visa; long-term visa issued by another Schengen Member State; or a residence card issued by another Schengen Member State, to apply for a Single Permit in Poland. Foreign nationals under these statuses must now obtain a Polish national work visa and then apply for a Single Permit. This law was implemented to ensure that the initial purpose of the foreign national’s entry aligns with their intent to work in Poland. This limitation does not extend to those applying for EU Blue Cards – applicants under the above statuses can still do so using the standard application processes.
