Political Demonstrations May Slow Immigration Processing

Government offices responsible for immigration processing have temporarily relocated or are reducing their hours due to ongoing political demonstrations in parts of Bangkok. This is likely to cause processing delays for the next several weeks at least.
The Employment Department has reduced its working hours. Foreign nationals and employer representatives who need to make personal visits to the Employment Department should make their appointments as early in the day as possible to account for delays and early office closures.
The Immigration Bureau has temporarily relocated its central office at Chaengwattana to the fifth floor of the Imperial World Ladprao Building on Ladprao Road. From this temporary location, the central office will provide full immigration services and work regular hours until the situation normalizes.
There are currently no reported disruptions in processing at the Immigration Department’s One Stop Service Center or the Board of Investment. These agencies provide specialized immigration processing for companies that meet their sponsorship criteria.
