Québec Releases List of Professions Eligible for Expedited Processing in 2014

The updated list of shortage occupations is largely the same as that for 2013. The list includes IT systems managers, mechanical and IT engineers, web technicians and graphic designers. New to the list for 2014 are web designers and developers. Information systems managers and restaurant and food service managers were removed from the list.
The new shortage occupation list is effective as of February 24, 2014. For a 30-day transition period, however, occupations on either the current or previous list will benefit from expedited processing.
