Employers seeking to sponsor foreign nationals for employment in 2018 should prepare their quota request as soon as possible. The deadline to submit the 2018 quota request is August 1, 2017.
Quota Request Process
The quota request, which must indicate the number of foreign nationals the Kazakhstani employer expects to sponsor in 2018, the employee categories and primary economic activity, and the region in which they will be based must be submitted to the relevant regional labor department.
Kazakhstan allocates a defined number of foreign labor allowances each year by region, economic activity of the sponsoring entity and employee category. Once the quota for a category is exhausted, Work Permit applications for that category will be automatically rejected.
