Partner Rick Lamanna is elected to the Board of the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association for 2025 and 2026. Rick will serve as Director for a two-year term focused on immigration policy, where he will further CILA's mission to educate and inform Canadian immigration lawyers, stakeholders and the public about immigration law through well-informed reactions and commentary on immigration-related news, initiatives and changes. About The Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association
CILA was founded in 2020 by a group of immigration lawyers to provide a national organization focused exclusively on immigration law. Founders recognized the need to create an organization capable of effectively representing the immigration bar, fostering an independent community of immigration lawyers, law students and academics, providing professional resources and mentorship, while engaging with stakeholders and promoting the rule of law, access to justice and positive change in the Canadian immigration system.
