Russia: Entry Restrictions for Ukrainian Nationals Entering From Third Countries
October 16, 2023
Due to heightened security measures established by the Russian government, effective October 16, 2023, Ukrainian nationals arriving in Russia from third countries (i.e., other than Ukraine) can only enter Russia through Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport or the Ludonka road checkpoint (located on the Russian land border with Latvia). All other land and air borders are temporarily closed to this group of entrants. These temporary restrictions do not apply to Ukrainians under 14 years old travelling alone or accompanied by a Russian national legal representative. It is unclear how long this temporary restriction will last.
