Russia: Fingerprinting Location No Longer Dependent on Address Registration

Effective January 1, 2023, foreign nationals can now complete fingerprinting requirements at any territorial division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regardless of where their address is registered. Previously, foreign nationals had to complete fingerprinting at the territorial division where their address was registered. However, foreign nationals are still advised to complete fingerprinting, photographing and medical examination procedures in the region where they perform work activities in order to avoid delays or issues. Fingerprinting is required for foreign nationals arriving in Russia to work for over 30 calendar days and for all other visa types where the duration of stay exceeds 90 days.
