Significant Increases in Work Pass Fees Take Effect April 1, 2013

Executive Summary
Application fees will triple for Employment Passes, S Passes and Personalized Employment Passes. Issuance and renewal fees will also increase.
The Singapore Ministry of Manpower will increase the administrative fees for most immigration passes for foreign employees and their families, effective April 1, 2013.
Application fees will increase from S$20 to S$70 for the Employment Pass and from S$20 to S$60 for the S Pass, while new application fees will be introduced for the Dependent Pass and Long Term Visit Pass. Issuance fees for the Employment Pass will increase from S$120 to S$150, while those for the S Pass will be raised from S$70 to S$80. The full list of application and issuance fees is set out below.

Replacement fees for lost immigration pass cards will also increase from the current fixed amount of S$60 to S$100 for first-time losses, and S$300 for subsequent losses.
With this round of fee increases, the government expects employers to bear a greater share of the administrative costs of work pass applications. Fees for replacing lost immigration pass cards are being increased significantly to discourage loss of cards through personal negligence and to reduce security issues.
